A woman with never-ending ideas and capacity to move on them, Kara came back wanting to expand one of the brands we had built together into something new: a community for women in business who were tired of building alone. The idea had taken root inside the first brand she'd built with us, but it had grown too big for that container to hold.
Within our first few conversations, it became clear that this wasn't a matter of extending her original brand into a second offering. What she was describing had its own gravity entirely, a physical space with its own tiers of belonging, a mission built to remedy the solitude that so many founders recognize but rarely name out loud.
The challenge: build a brand that could hold many things at once without flattening any of them... Moody enough to feel like a high-end speakeasy, but cozy enough that no one mistook the mood for exclusion. Serious enough to signal to women who've stopped calling their ambition a side hustle, yet playful enough to still call it "revel." Witchy and funky enough to feel like its own world, but never so much that it read as costume rather than considered.
Around here, we don't believe you need to choose one thing or another and Kara agrees. The table's always big enough, the room's always allowed to be both dark and warm, serious and fun. So instead of picking a side, we built a world that holds all of it at once.
"everyone has been like, 'Can I just hang out there now?'"
As soon as I saw it, I sent it to my team, and everyone reviewing it was like, I want every piece of this space. Can I just hang out there now? I already want to order wax stamps. I want to get cups. All of it, so perfect.
