Last week, right in the middle of my workday, I did something that would make no sense to anyone walking by. And yet it became one of the clearest reminders I’ve had about creative brand strategy and design in a long time.

I shut my laptop.
Drove home.
Turned the music way up.
And had a spontaneous, full-body dance party in my living room.

Hair flying. Arms in the air. Zero inhibition.

Ridiculous and perfect all at once.

Because yes, I spend most of my days creating intentional, story-led brands and websites for clients… but the truth is, I’m not my most creative or strategic self when I stay frozen behind a screen. My best ideas come when I’m in motion, when I’m grounded in my body, when I allow energy to move so clarity can land.

And right after that dance break, the next chapter of Unbridled Form finally took shape in a way it hadn’t before.

The next day, I joined a room full of women exploring the conditions we each need to do our best work. Not the conditions we tolerate… the conditions that help us feel alive, focused, resourced, and creative.

As they shared, I felt a familiar flutter of embarrassment rise in me. So I named it.

“I feel embarrassed, so I want to tell you what’s coming up for me.”

I shared my dance party.
The impulse.
The presence.
The way it cracked open clarity I had been circling for months.

Instead of judgment, I felt recognition. Smiles. A little applause. The kind of collective exhale that says, we all crave this in our own way.

Acknowledging our needs changes everything. Being seen changes everything. And it has everything to do with how we show up for our creative work and the brands we’re building.
