Katie is an energizing artist who paints women as they are — strong, soft, vulnerable, passionate, and an absolute force to be reckoned with. She had DIYed her original website but outgrew it more quickly than she could have ever imagined.
We partnered up to create a clean and sophisticated web design that would make her art the main focus. We transitioned to the Shopify platform for advanced e-commerce capabilities to turn curious visitors into loyal customers. We also added functionality for customers to share how they’ve styled their pieces which has led to increased engagement and more powerful reviews.

About four months before working together, Katie had made the transition from part-time to full-time artist. She had built her original site on Squarespace and didn't feel like it matched the level of her work. Squarespace was also holding her back by not having truly advanced e-commerce features.
So when we transitioned her from Squarespace to Shopify, we not only created a more powerful online frame for her art but also set up marketing features like automated review sourcing with photos, on-brand abandoned cart emails, private custom order functionality, Instagram integration, and a long-scrolling gallery displaying how her collectors had styled their new art and made it their own.
The result? A more powerful site that supported her as she refined her commission offerings and added on new product types after creating branded candles with her art.

Katie and I are still collaborating and recently hosted a giveaway to benefit a nonprofit that helps people move through their grief. I'm honored to support her in sharing her art with the world in a different type of meaningful way. Her piece "A Peaceful Warrior" speaks so much to the values and mission of the Gloves for Grief organization, as it's layered with messages that encourage people to be their own hero and create opportunities to breathe, release, believe, and receive - just like Gloves for Grief.
