Everything I Thought I Needed to Find Was Already Within Me—So Is Your Brand

Filed in The Reverie  /  February 18, 2025 /

I met my younger self at dawn.

The sky was still caught in that half-light between night and morning, the air thick with the quiet kind of possibility that only exists in those in-between hours. She sat on a fence rail, one leg dangling over the side, scuffed-up cowboy boots swinging like she had all the time in the world.

We talked. About the things she thought would define her future. About the ideas she once held onto so tightly.

She didn’t know yet that life would turn out nothing like she imagined—yet somehow, it would become more expansive, more real, more her than she ever could have planned.

But what I didn’t tell her is that the winding path wasn’t random at all.

The stories she chased, the wild places she explored, the detours that didn’t make sense at the time—each one was quietly laying the foundation for something bigger. Preparing her to tell stories that mattered, not just her own, but those of others.

Preparing her to build something that reflected what she believed about the world and the experiences she hoped others could have.

And isn’t that what branding really is?

Because beyond the logo, beyond the photography, beyond the website that makes your heart skip a beat when you see it live for the first time—your brand is a reflection of you.

Not just the version of you that stands here today.

But the one who once dared to dream, even when the path forward wasn’t clear.
The one who struggled to find their place in the world.
The one who failed, learned, shifted, and kept going.
The one who finally, finally stepped into their full self.

Every layer of your story—the winding paths, the lessons, the quiet convictions—adds depth, connection, and authenticity to your business.

And that is what makes your brand memorable and magnetic.

That’s what makes your brand feel alive.

So if you’re feeling like you’re still in the in-between—still searching for clarity, still wondering if all the pieces will come together—I want you to know this:

You don’t need to have everything figured out to show up like you mean it.

You just need to trust the story that’s already unfolding.

Because nothing you’ve experienced—no past version of you, no evolution in your business—was wasted.

It was shaping the brand, the mission, and the work you’re here to create.

And I can tell you from experience, that’s a beautiful thing.

Let’s build a brand that holds all of you.

If you’re ready to bring all the layers of who you are into your brand—
If you’re ready to create something that reflects not just where you are now, but every part of you that brought you here

I’m rooting for you.

And if you want some back up in bringing it all together, I’d love to support you.
