Unbridled Form and 3 Sheets Design's creative processes were born out of such similar missions - inspired by the untamed natural world of the West and seeking to create experiences that invoke curiosity, tell a story, and reveal beauty and appreciation for the things that often don’t get a second look.
Our project began with archetypal brand strategy consulting, where we explored how we could leverage timeless and universal strategy to uniquely and powerfully position this business amongst fellow makers. We landed on the magician archetype. Also known as visionaries and innovators, magicians harness the power of transformation. They are extremely passionate and charismatic, often having ideas that others view as impossible - such as turning plentiful and ordinary Wyoming sagebrush into incredibly unique functional art and home decor. Magician brands may be seen as trendsetters, but their magic truly comes from a dedication to reflection and bringing their vision to life.
This website build was all about shaping the online space to our vision, allowing a give and take of running with our inspiration and letting the project guide us to unexpected features and functionality that make this a truly immersive, compelling, and completely custom site. The magician archetype came to life with a custom transformation slider highlighting the sourcing of raw sagebrush, hover transitions on buttons and links, compelling photography composition, and language drawing on curiosity, artistic expression, and revelation.

"I also really like how the scrolling on the Coming Soon page wasn't traditional scrolling but covered up the previous photo in a revealing way. Almost as if you are holding a stack of photos in your hand and going through then putting the top on behind the rest. It's not done in a way that is too much animation as you can see on some pages."
My favorite part of the site is the slider that highlights the transformation that Casey creates from raw sagebrush to refined and striking functional art and decor. This both gives the viewer a taste of the artist's inspiration and starting point and shows them that truly anything is possible.
